Nenia's father, Panu, is the Chief of his village and works hard to protect them. He can get very angry with people because he doesn't like to admit when he does not know what is happening. He is not very comforting to Nenia when her best friend dies and Nenia really feels it. When he goes with Nenia to the temple on Mt. Dena, he gets very mad with Ishka and can't seem to see the good in her. But then he realizes that he was being unreasonable and finds his sense of compassion.
